I think that a major limitation is related to different applications that export/load their data in different ways, I mean some will export in GEDCOM. If we are trying to load a 5.5 or 5.5.1 file you will be able to do it. However if you are using another software that exports using a different format, then the conversion might be more complicated. In the future we should probably support more formats.
